A wonderful place to camp here at Lake Barcroft is Harmony Place Trailer Park, and if you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Washington Gateway West is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Barcroft is a site with many visitors from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, and Georgetown Reservoir is a glorious lake nearby. Man, is there plenty of amusing stuff to do near Lake Barcroft. While you're here at Lake Barcroft you can play some golf at Pinecrest Golf Course; Munson Hill can be spotted from Lake Barcroft. Lake Barcroft gets a typical amount of rainfall; all through May this area sees the most rain, and
February is when it's the driest. You can run the rapids of Four Mile Run right next door to Lake Barcroft; Lake Barcroft is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Christopher Run Campground is a tremendous local campground.
There is a nice hiking trail next to Lake Barcroft called the Rock Creek Park Bike Trail, and an attention-grabbing thing to check out close to Lake Barcroft is Lake Barcroft Dam.
Getting to Tripps Run from Lake Barcroft is uncomplicated,
and there are other places here than Lake Barcroft, for example Lehigh Pond. High temperatures at Lake Barcroft during the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Lake Barcroft throughout the winter generally sink into the 20's.

Pohick Bay Regional Park, located on Mason Neck Pennisula is an ecologically fragile land that shelters an abundance of wildlife, including the bald eagle. Nature lovers can expect to see blue birds, osprey, heron, deer, beavers and rare sightings of river otters.
