If you're a golfer then a nice close by course is Penderbrook Golf Club, and you can stay the night at Valley Mill Camp. Here at Lake Anne there are plenty of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, and there is a nice hiking
trail nearby called the Potomac Heritage Trail. Going for a hike on the Meadow Trail is always a nice adventure; Potomac River is a nice whitewater spot close by. Near Lake Anne you locate good locations like The Glade; you'll find
a charming lake called Lake Newport. This lake is so wonderful. Why not have a look at Lake Anne Dam while you're here, and you can go for a hike on the Paw Paw Passage Trail. Summer at Lake Anne arrives with high temperatures
in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Anne temperatures sink to the 20's.
