Paddling on Stock Creek is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Jessie Lea Recreational Vehicle Park-Campground. An interesting thing to visit in the neighborhood of Keokee Lake is Lake Keokee Dam; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Powell River. Keokee Lake is one of the lakes here in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Daniel Boone Trail, and after       a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - WHITESBURG is a great site to spend a night or two. This place, Keokee Lake, it absolutely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. A magnificent close by hotel is Comfort Inn Big Stone Gap, and you might also want to pay a visit to Garrison Hollow since you're here at Keokee Lake. High temperatures at Keokee Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. Daytime highs                  through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Keokee Lake tend to be in the 20's. The high level of precipitation makes Keokee Lake a rather wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Don't forget to take a delightful little trip to Craborchard Creek, and Keokee Lake is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Cave Springs Campground is a wonderful place to camp nearby.
