Kalnasy Pond is a lake worth visiting. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Catoctin Creek, and Kalnasy Dam is a place that is close to Kalnasy Pond. An afternoon playing golf at Westpark Golf Club is always a delight. Kalnasy Pond gets a typical amount of annual precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month is February.

| | Leesburg-Days Inn Downtown is a great location to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Kalnasy Pond. Hiking along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is magnificent fun, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Leesburg is a perfect choice. Brunswick Camp Site is a pleasant campground nearby, obviously you could also visit Izaak Walton League Pond while you're here; it's not far at all.

is a nice local campground, and you'll most likely meet some people from Hagerstown-Martinsburg here. At Kalnasy Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Kalnasy Pond.
