Jones Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; most of the rain falls through October while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Nelson Campground is a fine place to camp. Wintergreen has great slopes and a friendly staff, and the Tolley Gap Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. There are some brilliant whitewater spots       on Buffalo River, and Craddock Terry Hotel is a pleasant site to get some rest. Yep, outdoors amusing stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Jones Pond. Near Jones Pond you stumble on the Mills Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail, and here at Jones Pond you can distinguish Geddes Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. A quick tour to Crawford Creek close to Jones Pond is a glorious idea; Piney River Campground is a brilliant campground nearby.                  If you need a site to stay Madison Heights Knights Inn is a nice choice, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the White Rock Gap Trail. There's whitewater on Tye River for all you adrenaline kick people, and golf can be played at Shadow Ridge Golf Course. Summertime highs at Jones Pond typically tend to be in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
