Summer brings highs in the 80's to Johnson Pond, and the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Johnson Pond descend into the 10's. There is a fine hiking trail near Johnson Pond called the The Peak Trail. What a place this is for outdoors folks. The Belle Meade Linden Trail is a       great hiking trail next to Johnson Pond, and Johnson Pond is not the only site close by, Lake Wilson is a close by lake. Poes Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Johnson Pond, and camping is available at Sky Meadows State Park. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Rush River; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Rattlesnake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at South Wales Golf Course, and a lake nearby is Mosby Lake. From a rainfall point of view Johnson Pond is a relatively common location; August is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture.
