This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent location for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Hungry Mother Lake is Big Wilson Creek, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Marion. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Bluefield here at Hungry Mother Lake. A fine location to pop by right next door to Hungry Mother Lake is Allen Hollow, and great hiking       is available along the Comers Creek Trail. The vista of Mollys Knob from Hungry Mother Lake is wonderful; there's splendid hiking along the Mullins Branch Trail. All the outdoors cool things right next door to Hungry Mother Lake will keep you coming back over and over. Camping is available at Hungry Mother Campgrounds; General Francis Marion Hotel is a magnificent spot to get some rest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hungry Mother Lake; Bobby's Trail                  is a nice local trail, and unsurprisingly Staley Creek is a stunning stream that is worth taking a look at. Hungry Mother Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily May, that's the one that rains the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
