You'll meet a lot of people from Charlottesville here; if you need a place to stay Courtyard By Marriott Charlottesville North is a perfect choice. There is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Huckles Pond called the South River Falls Trail, and a lake close by is Chris Greene Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Doubletree       Hotel Charlottesville, and Huckles Pond is not the only spot close by, Youel Lake is a close by lake. An average amount of rainfall falls at Huckles Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and January is when it's the driest. Frays Mountain is clearly visible from Huckles Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Huckles Pond has to offer, you can camp at Heavenly Acres Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Huckles Dam is beautiful                  and it's near Huckles Pond, and why not take a little spree to Swift Run since you're here. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Rivanna River - North Fork, and going for a hike on the Hensley Hollow Trail is always a glorious adventure. High temperatures at Huckles Pond through the summertime months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows all through the winter for Huckles Pond tend to be in the 20's. There's so much to do here at Huckles Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Swift Run Campground is a great spot for that.
