Horsepen Pond gets a large amount of water; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Horsepen Pond is a place with many visitors from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria, and camping is available at Chisel Branch Campground. During the summertime months, highs typically are in the 80's at Horsepen Pond while overnight lows are regularly in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally       in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Horsepen Pond dip into the 20's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Whitewater paddling is great on Cub Run, and don't forget to take a good little visit to Horsepen Run. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little spree to Horsepen Flood Control Structure Dam since you're here at Horsepen Pond; in the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater                  paddling on Goose Creek. On a delightful day you get a sight of Stony Hill from Horsepen Pond. This lake is so wonderful.
