Sleep Inn , Inn & Suites is a splendid place to get some rest. Lakes are good; White Oak Mountain Lake is a lake that's right next door to Hood Lake. Through the summer at Hood Lake highs are frequently in the 80's; the overnight is a little chillier of course, frequently in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hood Lake are in the       20's. Not far from Hood Lake, you'll find KOA Camp Lake which is a wonderful lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Dan River offers some nice whitewater. Stay the night at Sleepy Hollow Lake & Campground, also Hood Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elkhorn Park is a great spot for that, and some of the water nearby flows,                  like Johns Run. Be careful coming to Hood Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Best Western Windsor Inn & Suites is a delightful site to spend a night or two; Hood Lake is not far at all from Danville.
