Don't miss out on a spree to Booker T Washington National Monument if you're here at Holdrens Pond; if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Bedford/Roanoke Area is a perfect choice. Holdrens Pond is close to Holdrens Dam which is a delightful spot undeniably worth stopping at; Board Mountain can be spotted from Holdrens Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Curry Creek Trail, and you can stay the night       at Blue Ridge Campgroud and Marina. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend North Creek, and don't leave Holdrens Pond without first going for a hike along the Hammond Hollow Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Holdrens Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Holdrens Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Virginia Jaycee                  is a fine campground nearby; enjoy a round of golf at Sycamore Ridge Golf Club. Going for a hike on the Spec Mines Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Holdrens Pond is a place with many visitors from Roanoke. From a rain point of view Holdrens Pond is a quite typical spot; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. So many cool things to do here at Holdrens Pond, too pleasant to be true.
