A visit to Hilltop Pond is always a good idea. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff next to Hilltop Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pohick Creek; Hilltop Dam is wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Springfield is a wonderful choice; camping at Pohick Bay Regional Park is always a splendid experience. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Maiden Fair Trail, and camping is available

There are glorious places to explore along the Upland Trail, and you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful folks from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. Summertime highs at Hilltop Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hilltop Pond are in the 20's.

Swamp Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and Pohick Bay Golf Course is a golf course close by. Hilltop Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during August; the driest of the months is February.
Get your heart beating on the fine whitewater of Accotink Creek, and there's some flowing water nearby, Long Branch is a stream you can stop by during your stay.
This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are wonderful places to pop by, and Fort Washington Park is no exception, and dry warm beds await you at Hilton Springfield.
