Good hiking is available along the Bear Wallow Trail; get dripping wet paddling on Big Cedar Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Lebanon is a magnificent place to spend a night or two; the view of delightful The Butt is brilliant. So much enjoyable stuff close to Hidden Valley Lake, clearly mind-blowing. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Abingdon,       and Riverside Campground is a glorious local campground. Long Arm Hollow is a perfect site to spend some time at; Hidden Valley Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Lake Shore Campgrounds is a great site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Clover Field is a nice site; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clinch River. High temperatures at Hidden Valley Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend                  down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while Hidden Valley Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. There are good sites to explore along the The Lonesome Pine Trail, and if you're going to from Bristol, you won't be the only one. The high level of rainfall makes Hidden Valley Lake a rather wet location; July is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. A short spree to Campbell Springs is always worthwhile.
