Going for a hike on the Riprap Trail is always a glorious adventure; camping at Loft Mountain Campgrounds is always a good experience. Meadow Branch Hollow is a delightful site to have a look at close by; if you get bored of Henleys Lake you could also pop by nearby Beaver Creek Reservoir. That right there       is a load already, but it carries on; Henleys Lake has it all. There are plenty of folks from Charlottesville here at Henleys Lake; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Turk Branch Trail. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Wintergreen. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moormans River, and do visit Henleys Dam if you're                  here. This lake is so wonderful. From Henleys Lake you get a good vista of Beaver Creek Mountain; close by you locate the Falls Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. For the duration of the summertime highs here at Henleys Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Henleys Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Boars Head Inn is a fine choice; Henleys Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Misty Mountain Camp Resort is a splendid local campground. Henleys Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is August while January is typically the driest month.
