This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Collinsville Knights Inn is a great choice. You'll need more       than a day to discover everything Hales Ponds has to offer, you can camp at Indian Heritage RV Park. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Float down the rapids of South Mayo River in a kayak, and get wet paddling on Smith River. Quality Inn Dutch Inn is a magnificent place to get some rest, and you'll probably meet some people from Martinsville here. During the long summer days, highs generally are in the 80's at Hales Ponds. During the moonlight                  hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Hales Ponds temperatures fall to the 20's.
