During the months of summer here at Hales Ponds, high temperatures usually reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hales Ponds. Here at Hales Ponds there are plenty of folks from Martinsville. There's so much to do here at Hales Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Fairy Stone State       Park is a good place for that. South Mayo River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby; dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Dutch Inn. Take a hike on the Casters Trail, and not far from Hales Ponds you'll find Bryant Lakes which is a charming lake. Hales Ponds gets a normal amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is October, and the driest of the months is January. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Lakes? Sure, Philpott Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
