Hale Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Raccoon Branch Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and Blue Spring Gap is also a pleasant spot to look at. Hale Lake gets a good deal of water; July is when you get       the most rain here; November meanwhile is the driest month. Wolfpen Branch flows through this region. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hale Lake; Little Dry Run Trail is a great local trail, and you're possibly hooked on lakes, Cress Lake is one of those nearby. At Hale Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's.
