Archie Cove is not far from Hairy Head Pond at all; you're sure to bump into some smiling folks from Ocean Pines here. Hairy Head Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while November is regularly the driest month. Don't forget to take a tremendous little tour to Deep Hole Creek; Bow Beach is a gorgeous beach to stop by.       If you came to camp Pine Grove Campground is a nice place to do that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hairy Head Pond; Ragged Point Trail is a glorious local trail. This lake is so wonderful. The trees of Woods Grove are a perfect source of shade on hot summer days. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Hairy Head Pond. Hairy Head Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Maddox Family Campground is a delightful                  local campground; a glorious place is Vineyard Shoal. Take a look at nearby Carrs Marsh, and Blue Heron Inn at the Beach Entrance is a glorious location to get some rest. Assateague Island National Seashore is a glorious local destination here at Hairy Head Pond; after a long day outdoors Best Western Chincoteague Island is a good spot to spend a night or two. Through the long summer days highs here at Hairy Head Pond get into the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's.
