Summertime highs at Greens Pond mostly tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Greens Pond. Lakes are wonderful; Hurts Lake is a lake that's right next       door to Greens Pond; McIntire Park Municipal Golf Course is a golf course close by. If you came to camp Heavenly Acres Campground is a brilliant place to do that, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Rivanna River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Courtyard Charlottesville North is a wonderful choice, and Piney Mountain can be spotted from Greens Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Greens Dam near Greens Pond is beautiful,                  and hiking along the Saddleback Mountain Trail is good fun. Greens Pond is a wet spot that gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is January. Just can't get enough of Greens Pond. Greens Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Shenandoah Hills Campground is a splendid local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Doubletree Hotel Charlottesville. Some nearby water includes Flat Branch, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Pocosin Hollow Trail. Get covered with water paddling on Rivanna River - North Fork; needless to say, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Smiths Lake is a lake nearby.
