Do stop by Green Pond while you're in this part of Virginia. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is unbeatable! After a long day outdoors Wintergreen Resort is a nice place to spend a night or two, and Mountain Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. A normal amount of rain falls here at Green Pond; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.

| | You'll need more than a day to discover everything Green Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sherando Lake Campground; close by you come across the Stony Run Trail which is a great hiking trail.

adventure. Green Pond truly is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. A splendid nearby hotel is Staunton - Days Inn Mint Springs. There's so much to do here at Green Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Kennedy Fields
Campgrounds is a delightful place for that. Green Pond is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area close to Green Pond has to offer. This lake is
so wonderful. From Green Pond you get a perfect view of Bald Mountain, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Tye River - Upper North Fork. The skiing at Wintergreen is wonderful, and why not go to nearby Chimney Branch if you're here
at Green Pond.
There is a delightful hiking trail near Green Pond called the Kennedy Ridge Trail, and soar down the rapids of Tye River - North Fork in a kayak. Places like Big Levels are wonderful to take a look at, and you'll
meet a lot of folks from Staunton-Waynesboro here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Green Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Green Pond are in the 10's.
