Hiking along the Lagoon Trail is pleasant fun; at Great Neck Lake you always meet someone from Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News. Summertime highs at Great Neck Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 70's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Great Neck Lake. Great Neck Lake usually gets       much rain; most of the rain falls during July while April is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the High Dune Trail, also Great Neck Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here. On a glorious day you can pop by Long Creek, a swamp close to Great Neck Lake, and a golf course close by is Bow Creek Municipal Golf Course. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll fancy Great Neck Lake.
