Not far from Gouldmans Pond, you'll hit upon Millers Pond which is a charming lake, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Wilderness Trail. A great deal of rain falls at Gouldmans Pond; most of the rain falls during July; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Dahlgren, Va is a delightful place to get some rest; the Mansion Trail       is a perfect hiking trail nearby. Don't forget to visit Jiles Point if you're here at Gouldmans Pond, and nearby you stumble on the Cedar Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Millbank Bar is close to Gouldmans Pond and is undeniably a great spot to go to, and Carter Short Turn is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. You assume that's sufficient? Through the summertime months highs here at Gouldmans Pond reach the 80's while night lows are usually in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's with temperatures at Gouldmans Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
