Throughout the warm months at Godfrey Pond highs are mostly in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 60's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 30's while Godfrey Pond night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Brunswick Camp Site is a good campground nearby; there's good hiking along the       Loudoun Heights Trail. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Godfrey Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Green Country Inn. KOA Kampgrounds is a great local campground, and you don’t have to go far from Godfrey Pond to spot the water at Godfrey Dam. Godfrey Pond is a good place of typical rain; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Drift down the rapids of Shenandoah River in a kayak, and the Appalachian                  National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best.
