     Flag Pond is always a pleasure to visit. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Flag Pond. Since you're here at Flag Pond why not explore Rasnic Hollow; you can stay the night at Cave Springs Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Flag Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Flag Pond dipping down into the 20's through winter  
   nights. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Daniel Boone Trail is always a wonderful adventure; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Church Hill.
Powell Mountain can be made out from Flag Pond; after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a fine location to spend a night or two. Natural Tunnel State Park is a tremendous campground here, and a range like the Powell Mountain is always pretty. That right there is loads of amusing things
 
               already but it goes on, the Cumberland Plateau Mountains has it all.
This lake is located in the wonderful Cumberland Plateau Mountains. Be careful coming to the Cumberland Plateau Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Get wet paddling on Powell River, and don’t forget to visit Back Valley if you're here at Flag Pond. The high level of rainfall makes Flag Pond a relatively wet spot; May is the wettest month with most rain, and October is the month with the least moisture.
