A delightful swamp close to Fishpond is Curles Neck Swamp; unsurprisingly, all our national parks are great locations to pop by and Prince William Forest Park is no exception. Blanco Mount is pretty and can be made out from Fishpond, and Jones Neck Cutoff is a great place to stop at while in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. What a place this is for outdoors people. If you come at the right time of year, James River offers some fine whitewater; if you've
had enough of Fishpond, Griggs Pond is close by. For the period of the summer here at Fishpond, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and the night is slightly chillier of course, typically in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime
the highs are typically in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Fishpond. Camping is available at Roadrunner Campground, and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Richmond.
Fishpond gets much water; most of the rain falls through August, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
