If you are in Chesterfield county it's always a good idea to stop by Fishpond. This lake is so wonderful. This is a great area for people who like lakes. Griggs Pond is a lake around here, and Fishpond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Roadrunner Campground is a wonderful local campground. If you need a location to stay Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Hopewell is a pleasant choice, and getting to Curles Creek from Fishpond is uncomplicated.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Curles Neck Swamp is an out of the ordinary swamp right next door to Fishpond, and nearby you stumble on Point Bremo.
You can run the rapids of James River close to Fishpond, and if the weather is delightful, you acquire a good vista of Blanco Mount from Fishpond. Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Appomattox River, and camping at South Forty Camp Resort is always a glorious experience. That right there is a heap already, | |
