This is a brilliant area for people who like lakes. Selfs Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and a tremendous close by hotel is Hampton Inn Smith Mountain LakeGretna. Through the summer highs here at Falls Lake get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are generally in the 40's, and through the dark       hours in the wintertime at Falls Lake temperatures plunge to the 20's. An interesting thing to have a look at near Falls Lake is Cherrystone Number One Dam. There's so much to do here at Falls Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sleepy Hollow Lake & Campground is a tremendous location for that. Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do near Falls Lake. Lakes are nice; Owens Fishing Lakes is a lake that's right next door to Falls Lake, and why not                  stop at close by Green Rock Branch since you're here at Falls Lake. Falls Lake regularly gets a great deal of rain; during July this area sees the most rain while January is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
