Falling Rocks Lake is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Wintergreen has nice slopes and a friendly staff; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Stoney Creek. So much fun stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too good to be true. Go for a hike on the Turkey Pen Ridge Trail, and Laurel Springs Gap is absolutely a magnificent       place to explore. Don't leave Falling Rocks Lake without first going for a hike along the Mills Creek Trail; Back Creek - South River Tributary is a good whitewater spot nearby. If you need a spot to stay Wintergreen Resort is a fine choice; Falling Rocks Lake is a nice location to camp, Sherando Lake Campground is a nice location. All year is a splendid time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you like the outdoors. Good hiking is available along the Kennedy                  Ridge Trail; Dripping Rock is clearly visible from Falling Rocks Lake. Having a nice time at Falling Rocks Lake is uncomplicated. It's a wonderful idea to stop by Laurel Springs Branch, it's close to Falling Rocks Lake; a splendid nearby hotel is Days Inn. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Staunton-Waynesboro here at Falling Rocks Lake; Kennedy Fields Campgrounds is a pleasant campground here. For the duration of the summer months here at Falling Rocks Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, frequently in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Falling Rocks Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's.
