If you came for an overnight stay Bull Run Regional Park is a perfect spot to camp; the South Valley Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Chestnut Branch flows through this neighborhood, and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Farms to Forest Trail.       The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Engh Pond. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's with temperatures at Engh Pond dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. Why not camp at Oak Ridge Campground since you're here at Engh Pond, and close by you find the Oak Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. This place, Engh Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors                  fun stuff. A good nearby hotel is Olde Town Inn-Manassas, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cub Run. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Engh Pond, for example Bagley Pond, and a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Broad Run. You'll meet a lot of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. All the water falling down from the sky makes Engh Pond a wet location; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. Lakes?
