Get yourself into a kayak and hit North Anna River, and if you need a place to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Fredericksburg South, VA is a tremendous choice. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Elliots Pond. Mattaponi Springs Golf Club is a golf course in the vicinity of Elliots Pond, and Ruther Glen Howard Johnson Express Inn is a good location       to get some rest. Elliots Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Float down the rapids of Little River - North Anna Tributary in a kayak, and you can go for a hike on the Sawdust Trail. A good place to camp here at Elliots Pond is Campground 721; don't leave Elliots Pond without first going for a hike along the Cedar                  Trail. Camping at Hidden Acres Family Campground is always a tremendous experience, and great hiking is available along the Wilderness Trail. You'll locate a picturesque lake called Pitts Pond near Elliots Pond, and you can take a little visit to Elliotts Dam while you're here at Elliots Pond. Throughout the warm days of summer here at Elliots Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Elliots Pond.
