Throughout the summer months here at Elkhorn Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Elkhorn Lake dip into the 10's. While you're here at Elkhorn Lake, you could also stop at scenic Elkhorn Lake, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Staunton-Waynesboro       here. This lake is so wonderful. Staunton Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit, and at Elkhorn Lake you can make out Elkhorn Mountain. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. On a perfect day at Elkhorn Lake you can take a hike along the North River Gorge Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Staunton-Golf & Conf Ctr, Va is a brilliant site to spend a night or two. If you came to camp Stokesville Park Recreational                  is a great site to do that, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hankey Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Elkhorn Lake that you need to camp here for a while, North River Campground is a glorious spot for that, and swing by Broad Run it's a great location to pop by. If the weather is good here at Elkhorn Lake, you can go for a hike along the White Oak Draft Trail; an exciting thing to visit near Elkhorn Lake is Staunton Dam. If you come at the right time of year, Jennings Branch offers some magnificent whitewater. Howard Johnson Express Inn Staunton is a tremendous location to get some rest, and float down the rapids of Little River - North R. Tributary in a kayak.
