You can take a little trip to Echo Dam since you're here at Echo Lake; hiking along the James River Trail is splendid fun. Having a pleasant time at Echo Lake is simple. Echo Lake is right by the Lower Chippokes Creek Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Chippokes Plantation State Park is a good place to camp. The high level of       precipitation makes Echo Lake a reasonably wet location; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while April is frequently the driest month. Econo Lodge Benns Church is a nice spot to get some rest; some of the water close by flows, like Champion Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious nearby hotel is Hampton Inn Suites Smithfield, and Smithfield Downs Golf Club is a great golf course close by. This lake                  is so wonderful. During your visit to Echo Lake you'll meet some folks from Virginia Beach-Norfolk-Newport News for sure. A charming lake like Edwards Pond next to Echo Lake is a great place to visit; why not camp at American Sportsman Campground while you're here at Echo Lake. High temperatures at Echo Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's.
