| | Airport Pond, absolutely striking. Some of the water nearby flows, like Frying Pan Branch, and if you come at the right time of year, Goose Creek offers some good whitewater. Going for a hike on the Paw Paw Passage Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and you'll almost certainly meet some people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here.

Clay Cafe Studios is a great location for that, and why not have a look at Dulles Airport Dam while you're here. If you came to camp Chisel Branch Campground is a brilliant location to do that, and enjoy a round of golf at Penderbrook
Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Do have a look at Alder Lake near Dulles Airport Pond, it's a stunning lake, and close by you locate the Meadow Trail which is a splendid hiking trail.
Dry warm beds await you at Candlewood
Suites STERLING. There is a wonderful hiking trail right next door to Dulles Airport Pond called the Potomac Heritage Trail, and Marriott Dulles Airport is a pleasant place to get some rest. Tippecanoe Lake is a nearby lake that you
could stop at, and there are some great whitewater spots on Cub Run.
The high level of rainfall makes Dulles Airport Pond a pretty wet location; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February.
