If you need a location to stay Red Carpet Inn Emporia is a nice choice, and let's not forget Quarrel Creek which is a stream that you may bump into while here. Doyle Lake is a pretty wet place usually with much rainfall; all through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year       is April. All through the summer months at Doyle Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, typically in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Doyle Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Cattail Creek Campground is always a brilliant experience, and people from Roanoke Rapids love to come here. Doyles                  Dam has perfect water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Doyle Lake, naturally you could also take a look at Mitchells Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun.
