On a brilliant day at Deer Lake you can take a hike along the Belle Meade Linden Trail; if you don’t have a problem getting       soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Happy Creek. A common amount of rain falls here at Deer Lake; during July this area sees the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Deer Lake is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Sky Meadows State Park is a fine site to camp nearby; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Lake of the Clouds.
