Crystal Lake is a lake worth visiting. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Strasburg is a fine place to spend a night or two, and Cherokee Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. A brilliant close by hotel is Courtyard by Marriott Winchester, and hiking along the Signal Knob Trail is brilliant fun. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Old Romney Grade; get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Cedar Creek.

Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Back Creek - Potomac Tributary; if you get bored of Crystal Lake you could also explore nearby Rainbow Lake. It's a wonderful idea to take a look at Keckley Run, it's in close proximity to Crystal Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Cove Campgrounds is a good place to camp. At Crystal Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's;
night lows at Crystal Lake during the winter frequently dip into the 10's. Going for a hike along the Little Passage Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Crystal Lake is a good site of common precipitation; the
month with most of the rain is July, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Crystal Dam is not far at all from Crystal Lake, and Candy Hill Campground is a great campground nearby.
