     The beauty of Craigsville Reservoir attracts many people from all around. Craigsville Reservoir gets a typical amount of yearly rain; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Shillings Trail is pleasant fun, and dry warm beds await you at Raphine-Days Inn. Take a hike on the North Mountain Trail; the peak of Little North Mountain can be distinguished from Craigsville Reservoir.

   Reservoir is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Tye River Gap Campground is a magnificent local campground; some of the water close by flows, like Jeff Run. This place rules, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of Craigsville Reservoir. If you come at the right time of year, Calfpasture River offers some wonderful whitewater, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Little North Mountain Trail. Whitewater  
               paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Maury River, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Lexington is a good choice.
There's so much to do here at Craigsville Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a glorious site for that, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Staunton-Waynesboro. The warmest time of the year at Craigsville Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Craigsville Reservoir throughout the wintertime typically plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. The Little North Mountain casts its shadow over Craigsville Reservoir.
