This lake is so wonderful. The Twomile Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and there are plenty of people from Charlottesville here at Craig Pond. Morris Pond is a good lake close to Craig Pond; Meadow Creek Golf Course at Pen Park is a pleasant golf course close by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Craig Pond; Saddleback Mountain Trail is a glorious local trail. Craig Pond is right by the Hensley Hollow Trail,       and lakes are such serene sites, why not visit Camp Faith Lake. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Craig Pond. During the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Craig Pond through the winter commonly fall into the 20's. Craig Pond gets a typical amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is January. Get yourself into a kayak                  and hit Lynch River, and Craig Pond is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Charlottesville Koa Kampground is a magnificent place to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Charlottesville Super 8 Motel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two, and get wet paddling on Buck Mountain Creek. Craig Dam is not far at all from Craig Pond, and it's a delightful idea to pop by Buck Mountain Creek. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a pleasant time here at Craig Pond.
