This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. There are other places here than Cosbys Lake, for example Salem Woods Lake; Cosbys Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Ponderosa Mobile Home Park is a glorious local campground. Do stop at Cosby Dam while you're here at Cosbys Lake, and let's not forget Watch Run which is a stream that you may run into during your stay.       Cosbys Lake mostly gets a good deal of precipitation; during August this area sees the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. Summertime at Cosbys Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Cosbys Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge West, and you'll meet                  a lot of people from Richmond here. Visiting Prince William Forest Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and James River is a wonderful whitewater spot nearby.
