Dry warm beds await you at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Fredericksburg South, VA, and do stop by Greens Pond, it's a stunning lake. You can run the rapids of North Anna River right next door to Collins Pond; why not go to Collins Dam since you're here. Go for a hike on the Wilderness Trail, and you can stay the night at Hidden Acres Family Campground. Collins Pond is a wet place that gets       a good deal of precipitation; July is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club not far from Collins Pond, and if you're here, you could also visit beautiful Lake Holly. If you need a location to stay Ruther Glen Howard Johnson Express Inn is a pleasant choice, and going for a hike on the Broomstraw Trail is always a tremendous adventure. This lake                  is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Little River - North Anna Tributary for all you adrenaline junkies, and don't leave Collins Pond without first going for a hike along the Cedar Trail.
