You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Collins Pond. You can run the rapids of North Anna River in close proximity to Collins Pond, and unsurprisingly, this is a tremendous area for people who like lakes, Pitts Pond is a lake nearby. Tanyard Swamp is a good location to visit, and if you're here you can play some golf at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club.       Don't leave Collins Pond without first going for a hike along the Cedar Trail, and why not camp at R&D Family Campground if you're here at Collins Pond. For the period of the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Collins Pond. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Collins Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. The high level of rain makes Collins Pond a quite wet location;                  of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike on the Broomstraw Trail is always a pleasant adventure; Hidden Acres Family Campground is a fine local campground. Ruther Glen Howard Johnson Express Inn is a magnificent site to get some rest; Collins Dam has nice water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful nearby hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Fredericksburg South, VA, and get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Little River - North Anna Tributary. This lake is so wonderful.
