There are plenty of people from Lynchburg here at College Lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at College Lake. This is a fine neighborhood for folks who like lakes. College Hill Reservoir is a lake around here, and get your heart pumping on the good whitewater of James River. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Of       Lynchburg, and at College Lake Dam right next door to College Lake there are some exciting things to see. The yearly precipitation here at College Lake is about average; October is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Lynchburg is a great place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Harris Creek for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Cheese                  Creek close to College Lake is a fine idea, and don't leave College Lake without first going for a hike along the Tolley Gap Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Wildwood Campground is a pleasant place to camp; near College Lake you come across a golf course called Cedar Hills Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Piney Ridge Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Clay Street Reservoir. During the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at College Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's.
