If you come at the right time of year, Guest River offers some brilliant whitewater, and as expected Meadow Branch is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at. For the period of the warm days of summer at Coeburn Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows at Coeburn Lake       throughout the wintertime mostly sink into the 20's. Good hiking is available along the The Lonesome Pine Trail; while you're here, you might as well pop by Buchanan Hollow. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Little Stony River - Ramey Fork, and a glorious location to camp here at Coeburn Lake is Bark Campground. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Norton Super 8 Motel is a glorious location to                  spend a night or two. So many fun things to do here at Coeburn Lake, too delightful to be true. Toms Creek Dam is gorgeous and it's near Coeburn Lake; this is a popular location for people from Kingsport-Bristol. All the water falling down from the sky makes Coeburn Lake a wet location; the month with most of the rain is May, and October is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Coeburn Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Flatwoods Campground is a great local campground, and Best Western Of Wise is a great place to get some rest.
