All the water falling down from the sky makes Clifton Forge Reservoir a wet site; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Jackson River is a perfect whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Clifton Forge Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant close by hotel is Hillcrest Motel, and in the event that you       don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wilson Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Buckhorn Store And Campground is a magnificent place to camp; going for a hike along the Stony Run Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. If the weather is glorious here at Clifton Forge Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Blue Suck Trail, and after a long day outdoors Roseloe Motel is a nice location                  to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Clifton Forge Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
