What a nice lake City Reservoir is. There's some flowing water close by, Jones Run is a stream you can take a look at during your stay, obviously you could also go to Skiffes Creek Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all. A great nearby hotel is Mulberry Inn, and taking a little trip to close by Hickory Point is a glorious idea. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Newport News, Virginia is a wonderful choice;

Why not camp at Gloucester Point Camp Ground while you're here at City Reservoir, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lower Chippokes Creek Trail. At City Reservoir all through the summertime highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for City Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. | |

Near City Reservoir you find a golf course called Kiln Creek Golf Club & Resort; hiking along the College Run Trail is nice fun.
City Reservoir Dam is worth checking out if you're here; camping is available at Newport News Park
Campground. City Reservoir is right by the James River Trail. Lots of rainfall falls at City Reservoir; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and April meanwhile is the driest month.
Don't you try to stop
me, cause I'm havin' a good time here at City Reservoir. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Yorktown Beach; a lake close by is Skiffs Creek Reservoir.
