There are fine spots to explore along the Cashaw Creek Trail, and Chilarna Lake is a delightful place to camp, Wildwood Campground is a delightful place. At Chilarna Lake during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes       with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Chilarna Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. You can take a little journey to Holcomb Rock Dam if you're here at Chilarna Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a little trip to Buck Branch since you're here at Chilarna Lake, and on a lovely day you obtain a glorious view of Locke Mountain from Chilarna Lake. This place is great, just check out all the exciting stuff to do right next door                  to Chilarna Lake. There are plenty of people from Lynchburg here at Chilarna Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Piney Ridge Trail. Kirkley Hotel Lynchburg is a good spot to get some rest, and lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Colemans Fall Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Pedlar River, and you can stay the night at Shady Mountain Campground. Near Chilarna Lake you stumble on a golf course called Ivy Hill Golf Club; fine hiking is available along the Rocky Row Trail.
