There's some exciting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Cheatham Dam in the neighborhood of Cheatham Pond, and Cheatham Pond is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Williamsburg/Colonial KOA is a splendid local campground. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff next to       Cheatham Pond will keep you coming back persistently. Penniman Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you're here you can play some golf at Colonial Golf Course & Golf Academy. Throughout the summertime highs here at Cheatham Pond reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the winter at Cheatham Pond temperatures sink to the 20's. A lot of precipitation                  falls at Cheatham Pond; July is when you get the most rain here, and April meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Hipps Pond right next door to Cheatham Pond, it's a pretty lake, and dry warm beds await you at Days Hotel Williamsburg Busch Gardens Area. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Cheatham Pond you can take a hike along the James River Trail. While you're here at Cheatham Pond you can take a hike along the Lower Chippokes Creek Trail, and a nice site to camp here at Cheatham Pond is K O A Kampgrounds.
