Several other fisherman including myself would be more than happy to fix the ramp at the bridges free of charge to the city or county if permission is granted. There is much erosion near the edge of the ramp. Backing your boat in the water is dangerous, trying not to go near the eroded bank. Please call me with a response . THANKS. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hardware River - South Fork; lots of folks from Charlottesville come here. For the duration of the summertime months at Charlottesville Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Charlottesville Reservoir       through the winter commonly plunge into the 20's. Good hiking is available along the Big Run Trail. All the outdoors amusing stuff in close proximity to Charlottesville Reservoir will keep you coming back again and again. If you came for an overnight stay Charlottesville Koa Kampground is a good site to camp, and lakes are such calm locations, why not take a look at Birdwood Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Charlottesville                  Reservoir, for example Charlottesville Reservoir; Upper Ragged Mountain Dam Number One is not far at all from Charlottesville Reservoir. Misty Mountain Camp Resort is a magnificent local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Falls Trail. Britts Mountain is trouble-free to spot from Charlottesville Reservoir; Meadow Creek Golf Course at Pen Park is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Boars Head Inn is a great location to get some rest, and Hardware River - North Fork is a good whitewater spot close by. Don't leave Charlottesville Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Turk Branch Trail; after a long day outdoors Sleep Inn ,Inn & Suites is a great place to spend a night or two.
