Nearby lakes? Sure, Edinburg Reservoir is close to Chapman Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Chapman Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Creekside Campground is a nice spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. Shenandoah National Park is a great local destination here at Chapman Reservoir; Seven Bends is an exciting place to check out while at Chapman Reservoir. Man, is there lots of cool       stuff to do in the vicinity of Chapman Reservoir. Chapman Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fort Valley Stable's Horse and Mule Campground is a great local campground, and the Little Fort Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. You might want to pay a visit to Forty Foot Gully since you're here at Chapman Reservoir, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Passage Creek. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always                  beautiful. An average amount of rainfall falls at Chapman Reservoir; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a good time.
