    Chapman Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. You simply should love Chapman Reservoir. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Edinburg Reservoir; do stop by Chapman Dam if you're here. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Woodstock, and nearby Forty Foot Gully is a wonderful site to go. For the period of the months of summer highs here at Chapman Reservoir get into the 80's. When the night  
   sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Chapman Reservoir temperatures fall to the 10's.
Chapman Reservoir gets a normal amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is February. Seven Bends is an exciting thing to see while you're here at Chapman
 
               Reservoir, and the Massanutten Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Passage Creek; Creekside Campground is a splendid local campground.
You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. Shenandoah National Park is a brilliant local destination here at Chapman Reservoir, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Powell Mountain Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains.
So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too nice to be true. This is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes. Woodstock Reservoir is a lake close at hand, and scenic scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Bryce Resort. Budget Host Inn Woodstock is a great location to get some rest; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Little Fort Trail. All year is a good time in the Blue Ridge Mountains if you love the outdoors. Chapman Reservoir is a good place to visit for more than one day, Fort Valley Stable's Horse and Mule Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Shenandoah River - South Fork.
