Many people like to go to Chantilly Lake. Chantilly Lake gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. It's a good idea to visit Cain Branch, it's next to Chantilly Lake, and a good nearby hotel is Marriott Westfields Resort Conference Center. At Chantilly Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Through the winter

Rock Hill is clearly visible from Chantilly Lake, and you'll meet a lot of people from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria here. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this site. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hyatt Place Dulles South Chantilly is a delightful site to spend a night or two; you can stay the night at Bull Run Regional Park. | |

A lake nearby is Manassas National Battlefield Park Noname Ponds; for you golfers we recommend nearby General's Ridge Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Chantilly Lake has to
offer, you can camp at Clay Cafe Studios, and going for a hike along the Oak Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here
at Chantilly Lake. Float down the rapids of Broad Run in a kayak, and Upper Occoquan Polish Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Very great water scenery is available at Chantilly Country Club Dam close to Chantilly Lake;
you can have a great hiking adventure along the Farms to Forest Trail. While you're here at Chantilly Lake you can take a hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail; paddling on Cub Run is so much fun.

 | 11 miles away Tried to put in at the Fairfax Dam but the City of Fairfax has closed the road and posted no trespassing signs everywhere. Seem to be pretty serious about prosecuting violators and towing cars. The portage around dam is too hard for rafts and steep for others.... |
