Camp Hidaway is one of the most beautiful destinations in our country. I have grown up in the forest and living in camper vans and traveling the country. Even though I have become very sucessful as a stock broker I have not forgoten the wilderness and what it offers. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Harris Creek; there are plenty of people from Lynchburg here at Camp Hydaway Lake. Camp Hydaway Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is loads already, but it carries on; Camp Hydaway Lake has it all. Dry       warm beds await you at Sleep Inn Lynchburg, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Cedar Hills Golf Course is in the neighborhood. Summer at Camp Hydaway Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Camp Hydaway Lake. Candler Mountain can be distinguished from Camp Hydaway Lake; a great site                  to camp here at Camp Hydaway Lake is Paradise Lake Campground. An attention-grabbing thing to go to in the neighborhood of Camp Hydaway Lake is Camp Hydaway Lake Dam; a lake close by is College Hill Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on James River, and camping at Wildwood Campground is always a delightful experience.
