Burke Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. During your trip to Burke Lake you'll meet some folks from Washington-Arlington-Alexandria for sure; there's always Burke Lake Dam to go to near Burke Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Accotink Creek offers some brilliant whitewater, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a glorious close by course is Burke Lake Park Golf Course, and naturally Opossum Branch is a stunning stream
that is worth checking out. A good nearby hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Woodbridge, VA; Lake Barton is a great lake close by. Burke Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; through May this area sees the most
rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
Camping is available at Burke Lake Park, and float down the rapids of Pohick Creek in a kayak. During the warm months highs here at Burke Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets
in temperatures drop down into the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's while Burke Lake night low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's.
