Lots of precipitation falls at Browns Pond; through July this area sees the most rain while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Meadow Knob from Browns Pond is stunning, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Marshall Draft Trail. Camping at Virginia Power is always a perfect experience, and Big Pond is a nearby       lake that you could check out. While you're here at Browns Pond, you could also stop by delightful Persimmon Pond, and if you came to camp Cold Sulphur Camp Ground is a perfect place to do that. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Browns Pond. There's whitewater on Bullpasture River for all you adrenaline people, and do take a look at Campbell Run if you're here at Browns Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Browns                  Pond; Tower Hill Mountain Trail is a good local trail, and skiing at The Homestead is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. Foxtail Hollow is a tremendous place to take a look at nearby. There's great hiking along the Fort Lewis Trail; you can run the rapids of Cowpasture River. Through the long summer days at Browns Pond highs are mostly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
