    Browns Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Cowpasture River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Fort Lewis Trail. Any time is a good time at Browns Pond if you have a thing about the outdoors. On a wonderful day you acquire a sight of Meadow Knob from Browns Pond, and do go to Campbell Run while you're here at Browns Pond. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's  
   to Browns Pond. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Browns Pond are in the 10's.
What would winter be without some skiing at The Homestead. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Bullpasture River, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Tower Hill Mountain Trail. A perfect location
 
               to visit near Browns Pond is Foxtail Hollow. There's so much to do here at Browns Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Virginia Power is a pleasant location for that.
Browns Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July while December is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Going for a hike on the Marshall Draft Trail is always a great adventure. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Browns Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cold Sulphur Camp Ground.
